Copper cathode is a form of copper that has a purity of 99.95% or greater. To produce copper cathode from copper ore, the impurities must be removed through two processes: smelting and electrorefining. The end result is nearly pure copper with unmatched conductive properties, perfect for use in electrical wiring.
Our offered Copper Cathodes are known for high purity and consistent quality, with 99.99% copper purity levels. They meet the international quality standards BS 6017 1981 (1989) and u-Cath-1 / ASTM B-115 (1999) and are registered as LME A Grade.
Copper cathodes are used in the manufacture of continuous copper rods for the wire, cable and transformer industries, and copper tubes for consumer durable goods and other applications in the form of alloys and sheets.
